Quality Dental Care Includes BI-Annual Cleanings
The quality of your dental care depends on how your dentist matches your treatment plan to your needs. Regardless of any restorative or cosmetic needs, one of the essential dental procedures you should follow is a biannual checkup and cleaning. Even if your dental health is excellent, you can keep it that way by making sure you keep your bi-annual cleaning appointment.
Cleaning and Quality Dental Care
Even though you may brush and floss regularly, use fluoride toothpaste and mouthwash, and follow a dental-healthy diet, it is still essential to meet twice a year with your dentist. A biannual checkup allows your dentist to check on the overall health of your teeth, gums, and mouth as well as discuss any dental problems or issues you may have. Cleaning your teeth removes excess plaque and bacteria which help prevent cavities and additional visits to the dentist’s office. Fewer cavities mean fewer invasive dental treatments and lower overall dental costs to you.
Biannual Cleaning
During any six month period your mouth, teeth, or gums can develop problems. For this reason, six-month dental checkups are recommended. During a biannual exam, your dentist will check for any signs of emerging issues, will examine your teeth, gums, mouth, and jaw, and complete a full cleaning. Occasionally, usually once a year, a set of x-rays will be made to ensure there are no “hidden” problems that cannot be seen.
In those cases when a cavity needs attention or gum problems indicate treatment is required, the dentist at Brenham Family Dental will explain what is needed and, is there are treatment options, discuss those with you. Affordable dental care is a primary goal of our practice, and we will work to ensure each patient receives quality care.
